This is the same great yarn that used to be spun and dyed in Peru through our alpaca fiber growers' cooperative.  They've since sold the yarn division to The Alpaca Yarn Company and it now comes from Peru. The Alpaca Yarn Company (formerly America's Alpaca) Classic 4-Ply Superfine Alpaca DK Yarn - 50 gram skeins This yarn is perfect for knitting soft, warm sweaters, socks, scarves, hats and cozy afghans.  It's sold in 50g (1¾ ounce) skeins of approximately 110 yards.  Gauge is 4½-6 stitches per inch using size 4-6 (US) needles.  Primarily a knitting yarn, it also weaves up quickly into a soft blanket or throw or a warm shawl.  Choose from the colors below.
